How much does a website cost?

Sitelegant guide · 2026 · 5 min read

"How much is a website?" is like "how much is a car?" — but the ranges are knowable, and studios that won't name a number before a call are choosing not to. Here are honest ranges, including ours.

The ranges

  • Landing page — $150–$800. One page, one goal. At the low end: a template with your logo. At the high end: custom design, copy and fast hand-coded build. Ours start at $200.
  • Business website — $500–$3,000. Five to fifteen pages, contact forms, maybe two languages. The spread is mostly design ambition and content work. Ours start at $600.
  • Online store — $1,000–$8,000. Catalogue, cart, payments, order emails. Payment and shipping integration is where estimates grow. Ours start at $1,200.
  • Web application — $2,500 and up. Accounts, dashboards, APIs. Anything with "users log in and see their data" is a project, not a page — scope it in writing before comparing prices.
  • Telegram bot / automation — $200–$1,500. Notifications, intake forms, sync between your tools. Small scope, fast payback.

What actually drives the price

  • Design level. Clean and minimal is fast. Custom art direction, illustration, motion and 3D multiply design hours — often 1.5–2.5×.
  • Content. If the studio writes and translates your texts, that's real work — budget $90–$150 per language or page batch.
  • Integrations. Every external system (payments, CRM, delivery, booking) adds setup and edge cases.
  • Revisions. "Two rounds included" versus "we'll iterate until you love it" is the difference between a fixed price and an open invoice.

Corners that are safe to cut

  • Skip the CMS if your content changes twice a year — a static site with a quick edit service is cheaper and faster.
  • Start with one language and add more later.
  • Use clean design first; upgrade the visuals after the site proves itself.

Corners that cost you later

  • Hosting you don't control and can't leave.
  • A site only the original developer can change — always get the code, the design files and the domain in your name.
  • "Free" builders that lock your content in and charge monthly forever.
